(1)...I simple word, Philosophy (from the Greek word philosophia,which means "Love of wisdom") is the study of knowledge, or "thinking about thinking", although the breadth of what it covers is perhaps best illustrated by a selection of others.

(2)......Philosophy (from Greek φιλοσοφία, philosophia, literally "love of wisdom") is the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.The term was probably coined by Pythagoras (c. 570–495 BCE). Philosophical methods include questioning, critical discussion, rational argument, and systematic presentation.
Historically, "philosophy" encompassed any body of knowledge. From the time of Ancient Greek philosopher Aristotle to the 19th century, "natural philosophy" encompassed astronomy, medicine, and physics.

Born : 1440 Varanasi (Benares), India, Died : 1518 Maghar Gorakhpur, Occupation : weaver (occupation).... Sant Kabir Das Sant Kabir Das was the great believer of the religious community, and he identified the Kabir as the originator of the Sant Mat section. He believed that human beings are equal and beings one with God is the ultimate aim of every individual. The beginning term Sant Kabir Das was the great Sant of India. He was one of the biggest poets of India. He was born in the year 1440. He belonged from the very low-income family of Muslim weavers. He was the very spiritual person and became a great Sadhu. Today I {Santosh Yadav} am going to post the Dohe/couplets/stanzas of Kabir Das which is hardly written by me but it not given by me, Its given by Great Sant Kabir Das. Dohe of Sant Kabir Das..... –1– बुरा जो देखन मैं चला, बुरा न मिलिया कोय, जो दिल खोजा आपना, मुझसे बुरा न कोय। अर्थ: जब मैं इस संसार में बुराई खोजने चला तो मुझे कोई बुरा न मिला। जब मैंने अपने मन में झाँक कर देखा तो पाया कि मुझसे बुरा कोई नहीं है। –2– पोथी पढ़ि पढ़ि जग मुआ, पंडित भया न कोय, ढाई आखर प्रेम का, पढ़े सो पंडित होय। अर्थ: बड़ी बड़ी पुस्तकें पढ़ कर संसार में कितने ही लोग मृत्यु के द्वार पहुँच गए, पर सभी विद्वान न हो सके। कबीर मानते हैं कि यदि कोई प्रेम या प्यार के केवल ढाई अक्षर ही अच्छी तरह पढ़ ले, अर्थात प्यार का वास्तविक रूप पहचान ले तो वही सच्चा ज्ञानी होगा। –3– साधु ऐसा चाहिए, जैसा सूप सुभाय, सार-सार को गहि रहै, थोथा देई उड़ाय। अर्थ: इस संसार में ऐसे सज्जनों की जरूरत है जैसे अनाज साफ़ करने वाला सूप होता है। जो सार्थक को बचा लेंगे और निरर्थक क
